Slam Dunking Financial Literacy: LA Clippers and Intuit Host Educational Forum

On April 4, the LA Clippers and Intuit, the global software company that specializes in financial software, recently held a Financial Literacy forum for young people throughout Los Angeles County at the Miracle Theatre in the City of Inglewood.

Local Inglewood schools Wilder’s Preparatory Academy and St. Jerome’s were among the schools from across LA County that were invited to participate in the morning and afternoon sessions where over 500 students learned about ways to save for the future and lessons on personal finance.

Clippers Alumni Craig Smith along with the Clippers entertainment like DJ Dense, Clippers Spirit, and Chuck the Condor set the mood for not only the educational information but fun breaks that included dancing, trivia, and giveaways that kept the youth on their feet and focused.

Special shout out to Miracle Theatre which provided the backdrop for this impactful event, and Intuit and Clippers for providing tomorrow’s money managers with the tools and encouragement to learn the importance of financial literacy.
