The Intuit Dome is a 28-acre sports and entertainment destination on the southeast corner of Century Boulevard and Prairie Avenue that is being developed through a Public/Private partnership between Murphy’s Bowl LLC and the City of Inglewood. Slated for construction to commence in Summer of 2021, the world-class sports and entertainment campus will consist of a 915,000 sq. ft. arena which includes approximately 18,000 seats for hosting professional basketball games, concerts, conventions, corporate events and other sporting events.
Intuit Dome is expected to generate an estimated $260 million in annual economic activity for the City of Inglewood. These funds will help support vital city services such as parks, libraries and police and fire stations, as well as other community-focused services. These benefits will have a lasting impact on the City of Inglewood, as they represent the largest commitment to community improvements in connection to a sports or entertainment venue in the state of California.
SUSTAINABILITY
Intuit Dome is pursuing sustainability, the integration of environmental health, social equity, and economic vitality in order to create thriving, healthy, diverse, and resilient communities for this generation and generations to come. With the construction of the arena, the Intuit Dome is pursuing to be LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified for both the Intuit Dome and the Plaza buildings. Intuit Dome is targeting LEED Platinum, which is the highest level of certification. Plaza Buildings are targeting LEED Gold certification. LEED-certified buildings produce less waste products and are more energy-efficient, compared to non-LEED-certified buildings.
