On Sunday, May 1st Homelight celebrated its 25 years of the program and a celebration to recognize the Mother’s both past alumni and present. The luncheon took place at the Los Angeles Airport Marriott Hotel. The mothers in the program were given a much-deserved makeover by Celebrity Stylist Camille Friend before the luncheon.
Homelight is an Inglewood-based program that is part of the Midnight Mission. Due to the substantial increase in families experiencing homelessness, The Midnight Mission established its Homelight Family Living Program in 1995. Located in a safe residential areas, including Inglewood,, The HomeLight Family Living Program consists of 11 renovated, fully furnished apartments. Families accepted into HomeLight Family Living are provided time to stabilize, plan, and move forward in a structured environment. Family members receive individualized plans for their transition to independent living, which include education, mental health therapy, job preparedness, and family reunification.
